PESSCL Strategy
The Prime Minister launched the PE, School Sport and Club Links Strategy on
2nd October 2002.
It is being delivered by the Department for children, families and schools (Dcfs) and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) through eight strands.
The eight strands of the original Strategy are as follows:
- Specialist Sports Colleges
- School Sports Coordinators
- Gifted and Talented
- QCA PE & School Sport investigation
- Step into Sport
- Professional development
- School / Club Links
- Swimming
